you'll take the long-drawn path and end up a kitten wound in a ball of wool
you'll feel the clench in your gut while your ego tailgates somewhere in the dark
you'll set your self free so you can add more photo-albums to your silvering attic
you'll find and you'll lose and you'll find
just to continue the chain
you'll make choices that ruin your peace so that you can learn to understand tragic comedy
you'll be the joker and the saint and the devil in your own mirror to perform your life in theatrics
you'll wear your soul out so you can show off its jagged edges and celebrate more birthdays
