song for the estranged

Many winters from now
where will you be...?

oh,where'll you be?

in transit,maybe

floating fancy in the smoke
of your own cigar
lost
in the divine soundtrack of the moment
trapped in a memoir one too many

while i stand paused
maybe, in an anteroom
full of swaying bodies
drunk
on the vagrancy of big city city life
lusting for a rendezvous with familiarity

and in the wake of a night
i'll take to the road
and walk along a patch of coast
drawn to trace a meteor trail in the sky

and there i'll be
fitting pieces of You
in my scenery

and many many winters from now
there i shall be...

oh,there i'll be

fitting pieces of You
in my scenery

and in the wake of a night
would you take to the road
and walk along some patch of coast
drawn to trace a meteor trail in the sky?

and while you're there
do you see yourself
fitting pieces of Me
in your scenery?

Many winters from now
where will you be...?

oh,where'll you be?

while i`m fittin' pieces of You
in my scenery

You
in my scenery
my scenery, my scenery

Oh,You
every bit of You
in my scenery

i don't know beyond
but i know you'll be
with me
in my scenery
